The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is an organization that works, around the world, to help people build a better life. They are working in at least 177 countries, targeting 8 key goals to help the world’s poorest. Their number one goal is to eradicate poverty in all its forms and dimensions. They are also working with the world’s leaders to accelerate structural transformations for sustainable development and to build resilience to crises and shocks.
WaterCan is a leading Canadian charity with the goal to provide an enabling space so people can be more productive. Since 1987 they have been dedicated to fighting global poverty by helping the world’s poorest gain access to clean water, basic sanitation and hygiene education. WaterCan programs have already reached over 1.2 million children, women and men and we want to help them to reach more.
Action Against Hunger (ACF International) save the lives of hungry, malnourished children. They work to provide communities access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger. ACF International has over 30 years of experience working with chronic food insecurity, water, sanitation and hygiene. ACF International works in more than 40 countries, benefiting some five million people each year.
Acumen Fund’s mission is “to change the way the world tackles poverty by investing in companies, leaders, and ideas”. Acumen has impacted over 100 million lives around the world and invested over $83 million in breakthrough innovations. Now their model has been proven efficient and it is giving the poor access to everything from ambulances to electricity. Over 58,000 jobs have been created and supported so far by Acumen and this is improving livelihoods and economies around the world.
